Welcome to the Children’s Ministry at CrossRoads Community United Methodist Church. Here your children will enter into a contemporary, fun and interactive learning environment that weekly teach God and His love for each and every one of us. Lessons are taught in an age appropriate style using puppets, hands on activities, crafts, zany character appearances and understandable object lessons that explain how to apply to our lives what we learn from the Bible. It will amaze you how much your children will lean while having such a good time. Each week, 75 to 100 kids come into the children’s ministry, that’s age’s birth thru 5th grade. And I do not believe in baby sitting. If you as the parent made the effort to get you and your children to church it is my responsibility to teach your kids about God. Every child over the age of one year old is taught a Bible lesson each week in a fun and memorable way. I did not particularly like going to church as a child. I thought it was boring. My philosophy on children’s ministry is to capture the kid’s attention so they will actually learn what the Bible teaches so when they are not at church they will think about what they learned at church and act accordingly. I am sure that is Greg’s goal for each of you too. We just get to do it in a way that makes an impression on kids! Right now we have a science theme in the children’s department of Kaboom; have a BLAST with God. I hope to see you and your children THIS Sunday! Nursery available during both 9:00 & 10:30 services. Special activities like Faith Factor, Mini Ministers and Vacation Bible School happen Children’s ministry is definitely a TEAM sport!! This is where you can come in. We need some summer substitutes to give a much deserved break to our children’s volunteers. If you can hold a baby, we need you. If you can help a teacher in the classroom, we need you. And if you are feeling really daring and want to dress up and become a visitor, we need you too!! There are forms on the children’s ministry table in the lobby that you can use to volunteer for Vacation Bible School and to help on Sundays. Please give this truly wonderful ministry opportunity prayerful consideration.
For the kid’s ages 4 years old thru 5th grade there is the multi age class called Expedition K5.
Children who are 4 to 6 years old, they get to go to Caravan Kids.
Planet kids is for the second graders thru fifth graders.
